Links + Love (July 2017)...

I'm baaaaack from a whirlwind trip to Vegas to celebrate my 30th birthday. I think from now on I want to spend every single birthday on vacation because it didn't really feel like my birthday and thus it doesn't feel like I've actually turned 30 (just go with it...). But more on that trip in a different post because today is the last Friday of July (how?!) so that means time for this months Links + Love post

I'm LOVING this face cleanser from First Aid Beauty that I picked up in Sephora a couple of weeks ago. I grabbed a travel size bottle and used it in Vegas and it worked so good to take off my makeup and get all the other dirt and grime (I was in Vegas after all...) off of my face. Now I wish I would've went with a larger bottle!

I've been listening to 'A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega' by Ashley McBryde any chance that I get since first hearing it on satellite radio a couple of weeks ago. Obsessed

I have an abundance of black beans in my cupboard so this cowboy caviar is getting made this weekend.

If you have plans to head to Vegas in the future make sure to check out Absinthe at Caesars Palace. I've wanted to go for years and finally made it during this trip. It was SO good y'all. But if you get offended easily it's definitely not the show for you....

I NEED to try this Creamy Chicken Taco Alfredo asap!  After eating out so much in Vegas I am SO ready for some home cooked meals!

How adorable are these matching 'necklaces' that I got for me and Krickit?! I also found these online and NEED to order them!

That's it for this month - I'm sure there were more things I loved this month but I'm still recovering from Vegas and can barely think straight. I'd need to sleep for a week straight to catch up on all the missed sleep! Today definitely doesn't feel like Friday but I'm glad I have the weekend to get back into routine. Happy Friday y'all!

24 Things Revisited...

Almost 6 years ago, on my champagne birthday, I wrote a post on my old blog titled '24 on the 24th' about some facts of me at age 24. I had completely forgotten about this post until I happened to click on a link to my old blog a few days ago and scrolled down a bit and found the post. Since I'm 6 days away from turning 30 I thought it would be fun to revisit the list from 6 years ago. Here we go!

I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up
Still very much true. I'm happy in my career but at least weekly I dream about being a stay at home dog mom, or an event planner or professional photographer. All these that aren't anywhere close to what I'm actually doing in my career

I'm scared to death of turning 25...
If I was scared then then I am absolutely terrified now of turning the Dirty Thirty. More so of just the idea of being 30, since I don't feel any different now than I did 5 years ago

Las Vegas is my favorite vacation spot
Okay so it's not my favourite but it's definitely one of them

I am a bad, bad blogger... but I will work on it
I've been working on it for the last 6 years. I've definitely come a long way since my first blog but I'm still not very consistent. Whooops

I can't go a full day without checking Facebook
These days mostly just because I need to check if anyone wants to buy anything I'm selling on a garage sale group. Otherwise I could definitely live without Facebook

I can't stop biting my nails... help!
I've 99% kicked this habit. Turns out spending 10 days in Mexico 4 years ago was exactly what I needed to kick the habit (my fingers were so salty from the ocean I didn't want to bite them! ha) When my anxiety gets really bad is when the 1% comes in which is the reason I now get shellac nails every 3-4 weeks so that even when I'm anxious I can't bite them

I am sooo ready to own my own home
Still VERY ready but still not a home owner. Yet. It all worked out for the best though considering eventually I will be leaving O-town and I won't have to worry about trying to sell a house before I leave

I LOVE cheesecake and Margaritas
Still love them though I definitely don't get to enjoy them as much as I used to. I should change that

I am attempting to grow my hair longer than it was in High School... not an easy feat
I think I probably accomplished this though I will never try it again. The length I have right now is perfect

I am 'Mom' to a fat cat named Hank
Hank went to live out at my cousins' farm about a year after I moved home from 'the city' because it just wasn't working out having him at my parents house with all of their animals. My cousin and her kids used to come visit quite often and her boys loved Hank so one day they just decided to take him home with them. Now I'm Mom to my angel baby Krickit, a 3 year old Chiweenie

I love to bake but I don't like to eat much sweets
Still true though I haven't done any baking since Christmas (the horror!). I think about it all the time but my weekends are always full of other things. I really need to work on my time management so I can still make time to do things that I enjoy

Potato chips are my weakness :(
Considering I gain and lose the same 10 lbs all the time I would say this is still very true

I have 6 tattoos with plans for many, many more
I'm now at number 13 (I think?) and still have plans for many, many more

I am a bad, bad scrapbooker... I couldn't even keep up with Project Life
Still behind by years on Project Life (and completely gave up scrapbooking) but I'm determined to get caught up!

I want a 'fancy' camera
I bought myself a Canon EOS Rebel T3i just before my brother's wedding almost 2 years ago. Still haven't mastered how to use it outside of auto mode but I'm glad I finally did get myself a 'fancy' camera

My family and friends mean the world to me
Obviously still true

I want to own a bakery/coffee shoppe
I'd still love to do that but after binge watching Bar Rescue on the weekend I'm now thinking running a bar would be even better (I'm clearly delusional haha)

Next on my list of places to visit is New York City
I did it y'all! I went to NYC in August of 2012 and I'd love to go back again. Right now I'd love to visit Chicago or somewhere in North Carolina first though, so I can cross some more places off of my list

Currently my favorite tv shows are How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, and Vampire Diaries
I still watch HIMYM on Netflix all the time but I gave up on the other shows years ago - I just don't ever get a chance to watch tv. Right now my favourite tv show is probably House Hunters (clearly I've grown up a bit in the last 6 years haha)

I recently discovered a new love for Starbucks Tazo Passion Tea Lemonades... Mmmm
I haven't ordered one of these from Starbucks in probably 5 years because I love coffee too much but I do make them at home all the time with the mixes that I buy in Target or Wal-Mart

I believe in ghosts
Nothing has changed there. Though I'm significantly less scared of the dark now...

I could spend all day browsing blogs
Still true. But also Pinterest... And real estate listings... and vacation planning sites...

I can't stand unpainted toe nails
This is why you will never find me with unpainted toe nails. And why I usually get a pedicure every
couple of months

I LOVE making lists
Still very, very true. I'm ashamed of the amount of post it notes that I go through in one week...

Obviously I now need to make a list of 30 things about myself at 30 because HELLO I LOVE MAKING LISTS!

Confessions (July 2017)...

I Confess...

I binge watched so many episodes of Bar Rescue yesterday (thank you Spike for having a marathon) that now all I want to do with my life is open a bar. I figure that with watching so many episodes that I now know exactly what not to do and my bar would obviously be a huge success...

I fly to Vegas next Sunday night and all I can think about is how I'm going to watch Game of Thrones! I will not be able to wait until I get home on Friday to figure out what happens and I know I won't be able to avoid any spoilers while I'm gone.

via GIPHY
How I'll react if I have to wait until Friday to watch

I layed out for over an hour on Saturday in the blazing heat to try and get some more colour before Vegas and in the end all I did was get more sun on the areas that I had burnt two weeks ago and now my upper thighs have started peeling from my previous burn (that turned into a tan within a couple of days). No colour anywhere else except where I already had some - how does that work?! Ughhh...

I completely blew my budget while shopping in Minot last week after I got off the train. In my defense I really did need some new clothes for Vegas. It's my birthday month so I figure it's all right just this once. I also spent time on Saturday doing a closet cleanout and posted some items to sell on FB so at least there's that...

I still don't know how I feel about turning 30 y'all. Though my dental hygeniest looking shocked when she asked my summer plans and I said I was going to Vegas to celebrate my 30th birthday definitely helped ease some of the nervousness about turning 30. I just remember being young and thinking 30 was SO old and now here I am and I still feel the exact same as I did when I was 21 so I just don't know how to feel about it. HELP

I accidentally bought some Danone Light and Fit yogurt thinking it was the Light & Fit greek yogurt and I can barely force it down because it is waaaay too sweet.  I used to hate greek yogurt and now it's apparently all I can eat. But since Wal-Mart in Minot only had the large tubs instead of the individual ones I now have a ton of yogurt that I have to force myself to eat because I can't waste $

Ever since MN and I ordered Taco Pizza from Toppers when I was there a couple weekends ago that all I can think about is that pizza. It was SO good and I have plans to try and recreate my own at home. I love Mexican food SO much so combining it with pizza is GENIUS

I am getting SUPER stabby that my contacts that I ordered from 1-800-Contacts on June 28th STILL haven't arrived. If they don't get here before Vegas I will be the stabbiest I have ever been. I am so sick of wearing my glasses and not being able to wear sunglasses! I thought I was completely out but while cleaning my bathroom on the weekend I found three pairs so I at least will be able to get through Mon, Tue, and Wed in Vegas next week if they don't arrive before then. But they better or watch out 1-800-Contacts....

Currently (July 2017)...

Reading my way through the Harry Potter series for my annual summer re-read. I finished Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (in most countries, like the GWN, it's called this instead of the Sorcerors Stone) on the train on the weekend so now I've moved on to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I also picked up Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica while I was in Wal-Mart last week and started and finished it in just a couple of hours on the train ride home from Minnesota on Sunday night. I LOVED The Good Girl so I had high hopes for this book and it did not disappoint!

Listening to a lot of 90's country music lately. It reminds me of summer vacations spent camping with my family and gives me all the feels.

Celebrating my 30th birthday in 12 days!

Watching Jillian and Justin tonight! I'm an episode behind so I need to catch up on that one first. MN and I finally finished Game of Thrones on Sunday too, just in time for the new season to start this coming Sunday! Now we've started watching Breaking Bad - I was hooked after the first episode and can't wait to get back to the Twin Cities so I can watch some more! Also, it's been super weird to not have my schedule dictated by the Jays games because of the All Star Break and I cannot wait for Friday to get here so I can have baseball back in my life again.

Working on some posts to have scheduled for when I'm gone to Vegas in 11 days (eeek!) so that I meet my goal of having 10 posts published this month.

Drinking water, water, and more water in preparation for the shit show that will be Vegas. My liver won't know what's happening. Also, I discovered a new drink on the drive home from Minot on Monday when I stopped in a tiny town to use the restroom and bought myself one of the Lemon Lemon Sparkling Lemonades in the Blackberry flavour. OMG y'all it was SO good. I had just picked myself up a case of the regular lemonade in Target that morning and didn't even know they made a Blackberry flavour. I'll be on the lookout for a case of them when I head to Wal-Mart in the States next!

Waiting for my contacts to arrive in the mail. I'm down to one last pair (I wear disposable dailies) so I've been stuck wearing my glasses all day which I don't like to do much in the Summer because then I can't wear my sunglasses when I'm driving. I was down to 5 pairs at the end of June and I made sure to save three of them for my trip to the Twin Cities on the weekend so I've been wearing my glasses so much lately.

Wearing a rotation of all my Old Navy/Lululemon capri leggings lately. I can't wear shorts to work so they're really the only option right now. I love being comfy though so it's all good. I bought a few things in Minot on Monday for Vegas and I'm going to start planning outfits soon so that I don't overpack my suitcase and have to pay extra fees for it being overweight!

Anticipating Vegas! MN is flying in to Vegas on my birthday (I get to Vegas the day before) and I can't wait to see him and I also can't wait to see my Twin (aka my cousin) who last minute decided to book a flight from BC and meet us there. I haven't spent more than an hour with her since she moved to BC last June!

Loving the cooler temperatures we've had the last couple of days.  We had a major heat wave last week and into the weekend so the cooler temps have been appreciated. The humid weather last week produced an F2 tornado that destroyed my friend from high schools childhood home - just 35 minutes from O-town. I LOVE warm weather but I am not a fan of always being under an Extreme Thunderstorm Watch/Warning or a Tornado Watch/Warning. Why can't it just be nice without all the storms?!

Making plans for must see/do things in Vegas and a list of all the places we want to eat! It's been two loooong years since I've been to Vegas and there are so many places I want to re-visit and also so many places that I want to try. Choosing which places to visit is going to be hard! If you have any Vegas recommendations let me know! I've been 10 (I think?) times now and there is still SO much I haven't done!

June Happenings (2017)...

What's New With You

I spent the first day of June travelling by train to the Twin Cities, just a week after I had left. Normally I wouldn't do back to back trips like that but MN had bought us tickets to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at the Xcel Energy Center in St.Paul back at the beginning of the year so almost as soon as I left the Twin Cities I headed back.

I got to St.Paul on Friday morning and, as is now our tradition, we first headed to the Uptowner Cafe for breakfast. After breakfast we settled in on the couch at MN's apartment to watch Game of Thrones (we're still trying to get me caught up before the new season starts!). We usually eat out while I'm visiting but that night MN cooked us supper (only the second time in over a year of dating so it definitely needs to be written down! haha) - and it was delish! The next morning MN headed up to Duluth with his Dad for the Air Show so I slept in, watched HGTV, and then explored the neighbourhood, walking to the Walgreens a couple of blocks away and then to Caribou for an afternoon pick me up.  Friends picked me up for supper around 5:30 and we headed to a restaurant near the Xcel Energy Center where MN met us when he got back from Duluth. The power had went out just before we arrived for our reservation time and the place was a complete gong show the entire time we were there. I'm sure its normally a great restaurant but they were busy beccause of the concert and the power going out did not do them any favours. We couldn't complain too much though because our waiter was giving us beers on the house because of the wait time and we ended up having 10 beers at our table and only paying for four. We had to eat our supper super quick and then make the walk down the street to the concert venue - luckily we made it just as the opening act was beginning, so at least it all worked out. The concert was very good- never did I ever think I would enjoy listening to Tom Petty. In the week leading up to the concert I had only listened to his music so in the end I knew every single song at the concert. By the time the concert ended it was almost midnight so we were all exhausted, I think I passed out the second my head hit the pillow.

On my last day during that visit we met up with MN's Mom's side of the family at his Grandma's and went out for pizza and then went back to her place after supper to exchange birthday gifts. My train ride home that night was not the most pleasant - my car was SO full and I ended up with a seatmate which is always just super awkward.

The rest of June was pretty low key - the weekend after being in the Twin Cities my Dad was able to find a trailer that would work (borrowed from his cousin) so my Mama, brother, and I headed down to Minot with the trailer to finally pick up Eleanor (details here on my vehicle issues in May) and haul her home. It was the quickest trip to Minot ever! Thankfully all the work on her is now finished (at no cost to me thankfully) and I finally got her back a couple of weeks ago and I don't have to drive a loaner car anymore (or walk everywhere like the first week after she broke down!).

MN came to the GWN in mid June. He was finally able to come over a weekend so I picked him up in Minot on a Saturday morning and we spent our weekend in the Valley (where my parents and brother were camping), just down the road from my parents place, playing Bones and Corn Hole, and drinking and enjoying the nice weather (when it wasn't raining...). It was also Graycie's end of year ball tournament that weekend so we got to watch a couple of her games. MN had to head back to St.Paul on that Monday night so it was another quick trip but better than nothing.

For the first time in years my sister and I didn't take the girls to the fair when it made its way to Estevan. That week was a busy one, we both rode the Big Bike for the Heart and Stroke Foundation with my sister's work one night (holy moly is that thing a work out! I've done it three times now and I always forget how hard it is) so it just didn't work out for our schedules. Not a big loss, the fair isn't even that great, and the girls will get to ride the rides at the MOA when we go on our big baseball trip in September.

I had a big fundraiser for work at the end of June, an online auction, and I really enjoyed putting together some baskets to auction off. The fundraiser went over really well and we were all very happy with the end results.

On the 23rd of June my entire family headed up to Saskatoon to celebrate my cousin Dana's wedding on the 24th. Everyone partied a little too hard on the Friday night before the wedding so we barely made it past midnight at the wedding (whoooops). We checked out of our hotel on Sunday morning and headed to my aunt and uncles for the gift opening. My aunt went all out with the food for the gift opening - it was so good that now I'm counting down to when their son gets married in September just for the food at the gift opening (for the wedding too but y'all - the food was that good).

I ended off the month in the best way possible, getting my monthly massage at a spa in a neighbouring town. It was actually overdue, I'd had to cancel my original appointment because of my vehicle issues, so the knots in my back were once again a little bit of work to deal with. Even when I use up all of the money available for them through my benefits I'm still going to treat myself to monthly massages - my back desperately needs them!

So that was my June - another month that completely flew by in the blink of an eye!

Duluth, MN Vacation Recap (2017)...

MN turned 30 on May 22nd so we headed to Duluth, Minnesota from May 21-23 for a mini vacation to celebrate. Our first trip together was to Duluth last July (which I don't think I ever recapped so that's now on my to do list) and I fell in love with the area so I had been counting down to the trip for a looooong time. It was definitely a different experience going from visiting in the middle of Summer to the middle of May though - quite the temperature difference but still a great vacation!
We got up bright and early and left for Duluth on the Sunday before MN's birthday. Our first stop was at the Caribou Coffee just down the street from MN's place to get road trip coffees and then we were finally off on our mini vacation. Duluth is about 2 hours and 15 minutes from St. Paul but goes a lot quicker than any road trip I take around home because it's double lane all the way up there (hallelujah!).
Just over an hour into our drive we stopped in Hinckley at Tobies Restaurant & Bakery - a must for a road trip up to Duluth. We had breakfast and also snagged some cinnamon rolls to take with us to have for breakfast at our cabin the next morning. After that we were back on the road to finish our drive to Duluth. Once we got to Duluth we had a couple of hours to kill before we could check into our cabin. We had wanted to hit up some breweries while in Duluth and they were going to be closed on the Monday so it worked out perfect to do that while we waited to be able to check in. It was also overcast and raining off and on so spending time outside would've been pretty chilly so indoor activities was definitely appreciated.
The first brewery we stopped at was the Bent Paddle Brewing Co right in Duluth. I didn't make the best beer selection and I had to force it down, but I'm sure there were others that I would've liked more, I just picked the wrong one (I think I picked the Kanu but don't quote me on that). I've always liked beer but only since I started dating MN have I actually got into craft beers so I'm just finding what I like/don't like (nothing super hoppy! blech). I'm used to drinking domestic beers - Pilsner (aka Saskatchewan Champagne), Bud Light, Miller Lite, etc. - so it's a learning curve for what I like and what I despise. Going to the Beer Dabbler in February I got to try SO many different beers and there were some I LOVED and some that I had to make MN drink because I couldn't even take another sip after the first one.
After we finished at Bent Paddle we headed to Twin Harbors (it was so hard not to spell that 'harbour' ha), about a 35 minute drive from Duluth, to Castle Danger Brewing. This brewery had a stack of games to choose from so MN picked cribbage and taught me how to play! I used to 'play' cribbage with my cousins at my grandparents house when I was young but we didn't know the rules and made up our own so it was my first time actually playing. It took awhile to get the hang of it but I actually really enjoyed it (I'm sure he'll have to re-teach me everything again the next time we play though). I can't remember which beer I had at Castle Danger - I want to say the Summer Crush but, again, don't quote me on that. It wasn't my favourite beer I've ever had but it was more enjoyable than the one from Bent Paddle and went down a lot quicker. Once we finished up a couple of rounds of cribbage and finished our beers it was time to head back down the road to check in to our cabin.
We didn't stay right in Duluth this time and instead stayed at Dodges Log Lodges, about a 25 minute drive from Duluth. There are six different cabins to choose from and they are all SO adorable and I absolutely loved the one we stayed in, the Fitzgerald cabin. It was a completely different environment from the penthouse suite we stayed in at Beacon Pointe Resort during our first trip to Duluth in July 2016 but just as enjoyable. Lake Superior was just steps from our cabin and waking up to the sound of the water crashing on the shore is something I'll never forget! We settled into the cabin and then just spent a couple of hours relaxing (and napping haha). We had celebrated all the family birthdays on MN's dad's side of the family (for a small family - in comparison to mine - there sure were a lot of birthdays for them in May!) on Saturday night with supper and gift opening at his parents house and from his sister and her bf he had gotten a bottle of vodka from the distillery we had visited at the beginning of the month, and all the supplies to make Moscow Minnesota Mules, including some copper mugs, so MN made us some mules to enjoy as we relaxed at the cabin. Later that night we headed into Duluth to Blackwoods Grill & Bar for a late supper. Once we got back to the cabin MN built a fire in the fireplace and we watched HGTV (he must really love me haha) before calling it a day.

The next morning was MN's 30th birthday! (I'm so glad he hit that milestone before me haha). We woke up to another overcast day, to the sound of the water crashing on the shore and it was just perfect. We had a bit of a lazy morning - we had brought coffee and creamer from home to make in the coffee maker (the best part about staying in a cabin is having a fridge, coffee maker, etc. all right there!) so we enjoyed a few cups of coffee while watching more HGTV and eating our Tobie's cinnamon rolls. We took our time getting ready and in the early afternoon we headed into Duluth. We wandered around the shops for awhile and then headed to Canal Park Brewery for drinks and lunch. I had the Ankle Deep Pilsner and it's my absolute favourite of all the beers I've tried so far (I love me a pilsner). We ordered some appetizers to share and MN also had the Beer Cheese Soup - it was all so delish! After our lunch we walked down to the lighthouse at the end of the lakewalk to see some of Duluth from there and get some pictures.

We headed back to the cabin for a bit for an afternoon nap (we're not young anymore ha) and to just relax some more before heading back in to Duluth for MN's birthday supper. We relaxed, enjoyed our nap, and then got ready to head back into Duluth for another late supper. We went to Bellisio's Italian Restaurant and we will definitely go back again, it was SO good y'all. There were walls upon walls of wine racks full of wine - it was very impressive. MN got our waitress to recommend a good wine that we would both like (he likes red and I prefer a sweet red or white) and her recommendation was perfect - we both really enjoyed it. Our food was delicious and we even got some free gelato for MN's birthday! I would love to go again during the Summer and sit on their patio - it's definitely on the list for our next visit back.

After supper we headed to the Vikre Distillery to continue the birthday celebrations. I was able to cross another thing off of my Spring Bucket List by trying a new cocktail - the Not a Gin Drinker. It was so good, I cannot wait to go back and try it again. We stayed at the distillery until closing and then headed back to the cabin for our last night.

We had plans with friends on Tuesday night to go to the Blue Door for supper and trivia (I still have to finish my May Happenings post - I'm terrible -so more on that in that post) so we wanted to get back to the cities at a decent hour so we packed up early the next morning and were on the road by (I think) 10 am to head back to St. Paul.
It was a short vacation but we crammed lots into our time and definitely made some great memories from our second trip to Duluth. I can't wait to make it back there again soon!

July Goals (2017)...

Happy 4th of July to all my friends in the US of A! I hope you all have super fun plans for the holiday. I had a very low key Canada Day long weekend - I didn't even leave my house once! I'm trying really hard not to spend any money this month other than for the trips that I have planned so I didn't want to sabotage myself by leaving the house (and tried to stay away from my computer so I couldn't online shop!). Instead I spent the weekend catching up on cleaning (you wouldn't believe how quick dust piles up when you live off of a gravel road!), doing some purging and organizing, and watching baseball. I spent a few hours outside yesterday afternoon working on my tan and my HP series re-read and that was the extent of my time outside of the house.

I wanted to get all my 'chores' out of the way this weekend so that I could just enjoy the rest of my weekends this Summer. In previous years for Canada Day I would go all out and make festive drinks and snacks but that sounded $$$ so I just laid low this weekend instead - I only had 1 beer all weekend long!

Now that it's July (how?!) it's officially my birthday month and yesterday marked exactly three weeks until I turn 30 (eek!) and celebrate in Vegas - I can't wait! It's going to be a busy month but I'm hopefully that with all the craziness I can still manage to cross everything off of my July Goals. But before I get to them, my June Goals progress

Lose 5 lbs
I probably should have weighed myself in June (face palm) so I actually have no  idea. Whomp whomp

Work on crossing things off of my Spring Bucket List and 30 Before 30 List
I crossed a few more things off of my Spring Bucket List in June and my 30 Before 30 list was once again forgotten...

Dust off my DSLR
Ughh no and I'm so mad at myself - I didn't buy an expensive camera for it to just sit on a shelf! In July I'm going to do some family photos for my sister and nieces so it will get dusted off then for sure!

Book my 30th birthday trip
We still haven't done this and it's less than three weeks away now. It's happening this week for sure or else my anxiety will be through the roof!

Create my Summer Bucket List
Done. You can check it out here!

Recap my May vacation
Recapping vacations is SO hard y'all, especially when I'm missing Duluth like crazy! I always want to remember everything about my vacations so the recaps tend to get very wordy (sorry y'all) and picture heavy so it takes a long time to write them. I do have a post in the works, so I will recap it eventually. Maybe this week?

Now onto July's Goals!

In July I Want To...

Track my meals/snacks using the WW App
I just don't have it in me to do a third Whole30 this year (not yet anyways) so for now I am going to track with WW so that I am making a conscious effort to make good choices. There will still definitely be some indulgences (hello Vegas) but I just want to try this out for awhile and see how it goes. I'm SO sick of losing and gaining the same 5-10 lbs and I'd like to at least get back to what I weighed around this time last year so I'm going to give this a whirl

Workout every single day
This is a lofty goal considering I'm in the Twin Cities three days in July and in Vegas 5 days in July but I know I can do it, I just have to make the time. I've been doing Shaun Week via Beachbody on Demand and I am LOVING it. It's pushing me out of my comfort zone which is exactly what I needed. I've also been fitting in some Country Heat workouts on days where I don't feel too strained following my other workouts - Vegas is less than 3 weeks away after all!

Track every cent I spend
I've done it before and I know I can do it again, it will just be a bit harder this month because I will have to track some items in USD since I will be in the US on vacation two different times

Take at least 10 walks with Krickit
I've been a terrible dog mama lately and it's been weeks since I took Krickit out to hit the pavement. In the Summer of 2015 we took a walk every.single.day so I'm starting out slow with aiming for 2 days a week but I really hope we get more in

Post at least 10 times on this space of mine
Posting in the Summer always seems so much easier so I'm hoping that's the case again this year becuase I really want to get back to this space of mine on a regular basis. On another note, any recommendations on blog designers? This space is loooong overdue for a makeover, especially considering that my current bio currently starts with 'A 20-something...' and that is very soon going to be false!

Post to Instagram at least three times a week
I really need to work on this. I only posted a new photo 3 times in June - how ridiculous! It realllly doesn't help that my iPhone photo quality is terrible - I'm overdue for an updgrade but just haven't bit the bullet - so I'll start posting a photo and then think it looks horrendous and end up just saving it as a draft and not posting anything at all. With it being birthday month/Vegas I should be able to do a good job of posting consistently

Cross as many 30 Before 30 items off of my list as possible
Obviously a LOT of them aren't going to get accomplished. Apparently I thought I would just have a ton of money to throw around to work on some of these things? But it is what it is and I'd like to at least get a few more things crossed off of there. And if someone wants to pay for me to fly to Toronto to watch a Blue Jays game at Rogers Centre that would be great...

Start working on my 101 in 1001 list
There's no way in h-e-double hockey sticks that I am making a 40 Before 40 list because just the thought of that gives me hives so instead I'm going to work on a 101 in 1001 list. If you have some great ideas that I should add let me know!
